Rowan McDonnell burst onto the Ultimate scene in 2013 when he jumped from his local summer league to Boston Ironside, one of the premiere Ultimate clubs of the past decade. In 2015, Rowan moved to Washington DC, where he currently captains both the amateur club team Truck Stop and the local professional team, the DC Breeze. Rowan was also the 2018 AUDL MVP. Since relocating to the Nation’s Capital, Rowan has helped lead the Breeze to the playoffs each year, as well as four consecutive trips to Club Nationals with Truck Stop. In addition, he coaches the women’s Ultimate program at American University where he has coached their A team to Regionals each year. Rowan has coached or assisted over a dozen youth teams in the DC Ultimate Community.
