Sofia is a certified health coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York) with a PhD in biology/genetics (Toronto, Canada) who uses a scientific approach for maximizing health and fitness. Sofia believes that everyone can live their best possible lives by eating well, constantly testing their personal limits, respecting their instincts, having a curious mind and being authentic. Her own personal balance comes from doing what she loves professionally, constantly challenging herself intellectually and physically, a family that she adores, fantastic friends, and regularly training for and playing her favorite sport, beach ultimate.
Besides being a health coach and scientist, Sofia is also a writer. In her book, “The food anthropologist …a one year journey revisited” Sofia describes her one-year long experience living through, and explores the science behind, twelve popular diets including gluten free, dairy free, paleolithic, ketogenic, macrobiotic, vegan, intermittent fasting, and more.
