You could do that… but I would highly not recommend it, subject to clarity of what your goal is that has you thinking of doing that.
I’m assuming you’re trying to do an off-season strength program like Program.Zero/One/Triphasic? And doing the conditioning alongside?
With that assumption in mind, I would advise you focus 100% to a period of strength building before bringing other additional competing qualities like HIIT conditioning. Seeing that one S&P program is between 9-12 weeks, that’s just 23% (at most) of your annual time spent in correcting and reinforcing your movement base. Also, energy system development is more responsive as compared to strength development, so if you’re worried about losing your “fitness”, so long as you time yourself correctly for your significant events, you’ll be far better off because you would be bringing the off-season work into your season.
