My season has just started up again and continues from March – July. This is a long time to stick with the inseason prog 1 without plateauing and the excercises feeling repetitive. My current schedule includes: training 2x a week and S&P programme 1 2/3x a week. In 3-4 weeks I intend to build on this with 1x agility zero, and then increase further to include 1x ESD a week.
Do I push through with the in season prog 1 for 5 months or can I frankenstein some of the other phases and freshen up my gym routine?
You can definitely lateralize yourself on some of the exercises. If you have that much time however, you may want to consider going #strengthpowertwo phase 2, phase 3 and phase 4 then jump into #inseasonone (recognize however, SP2 phase 4 and In.Season.One are very similar style “in-season” peaking) phases of programming. So you can modify based on that idea.
