Hi, I completed program zero in the lead up to a recent tournament. What strength and conditioning program do you recommend for off season?

Also, I keep seeing programs for beginners or intermediate athletes. I was wondering which programs you recommend for elite athletes, or at least Worlds players?

    Brett,

Nice to have you on-board. How did Program.Zero go for you?

In choosing the available programs… Zero, One, Triphasic… It depends on your quality of movement more than anything else, which includes your lifting technique and not the load.

Triphasic is the current most advanced program, but i recommemd having great movement quality as a pre-requisite. Program that involves bilateral movements and the notion of being advanced can do harm if not approached with caution.

Might i add, that you may proceed with triphasic by all means. From personal experience, it does require a base level of experience training with weights because triphasic aims at training EIC of muscle action. It is also more effective if you can judge how much weight you can lift, hence the experience pre-requisite.

Brett, you were at MP AUS 2012 right? Did you make the gym sessions or only the field work sessions? Also, do you have any videos of your lifting? This could help us guide you and assess your readiness for advance programs…
