6-Notes on Sunday
Here is your weekly dose of “6-Notes on Sunday,” a list of ideas, products, episodes, quotes, exercises, and more that we believe are worth sharing.
Have patience in the process —
We came across this video of the Killers’ first recorded performance of Mr. Brightside – fun to see how far they’ve come and take comfort in the fact that it takes time to reach our goals and to not beat ourselves up when we are starting something new. Another example is ultimate player, MKBHD, who was just on Joe Rogan – here’s his first video.
A just for fun podcast —
We are big fans of the Harry Potter series – this podcast reviews each chapter of each book as a sacred text. It’s a fun way to look at the characters and the messages of the series.
Define your fears not your goals —
In this video, Tim Ferriss shares how he employs stoicism to battle depression and how to avoid self-destruction. Quote from the video: “We suffer more in imagination than in reality.” – Seneca
It works —
We put off sharing this because it’s a bit strange to talk poop… yet as the children’s book says “Everyone Poops” and it’s very important to have a healthy gut. Just try a Squatty Potty – you will like it more than you expect.
Learn the basics —
This is standard for functional training from one of the “godfathers” of the strength and conditioning world, Mike Boyle.
We want you to vote —
Voting is now open for USA Ultimate Board elections – use this link and all you have to do is sign in and then it takes you right to the page. Vote Jimmy!
Wishing you an amazing week!
